Sandy married her husband Rob in 1983. They have 3 adult children, and 10 beautiful grandchildren. Sandy has been in the social services arena for over 30 years. Sandy is the founder of H2H and is currently serving as the Executive Director, Clinical Staff Supervisor of H2H and also has a client caseload of her own. She has a passion for supporting and encouraging hurting and wounded people by sharing the love and wisdom of God with all who seek her counsel. Sandy is committed to training up and equipping Godly people to join the counseling profession through mentoring and providing college counseling internships. To date, she has provided internships to over 20 students from colleges and universities throughout Illinois and beyond.
Sandy has a Master's Degree in Sociology from Illinois State University and a Bachelor Of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from Eureka College. She is a Board Certified Christian Counselor (BCCC) through the International Board of Christian Counselors, is a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist and has been an active member in good standing of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) since 2000. She has also earned many counseling certificates from Light University.
Sandy's primary counseling modality is the cognitive/behavioral approach, however, she uses other counseling approaches which best meet the needs of each individual client. She is also trained in the use of EMDR to address trauma issues.
Sandy works with all age groups. She specializes in working with children, the elderly and individuals with mental challenges and developmental disabilities. She is equipped to work with grief, abandonment, depression, anxiety, parenting, marriage, relationship, family and spiritual issues. Email: [email protected].
Joni is mom to two adult children and two spoiled doggies. She works at Moody Bible Institute as an Academic Assistant to the Dean of Online Learning, counsels at Heart 2 Heart, and works for a state funded program helping perpetrators of domestic violence. When she isn’t working one of her three jobs, she loves to find time to enjoy nature, kayak, enjoy her aquariums, or hang out with her dogs.
Joni has a deep heart desire to help hurting people through their struggles. She desires to use her faith to offer sound Biblical counsel. Joni knows life can be hard and would love to be a safe place for those in need of it.
Joni is an active member in good standing of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and is a Board-Certified Biblical Counselor. She has state certification in domestic abuse survivor advocacy as well as a certification in working with sexual assault survivors. She will be starting graduate school for her Masters in Clinical Psychology this fall at Moody Theological Seminary. Joni enjoys working with teens and adults.
