It is hard to believe that 2022 is half over already! These last two years have been an extremely wild ride, but God has been so faithful to carry us through the ups and downs of the recent pandemic and all the other challenges that life has been bringing our way. I had decided the last two years that I would not send out our mid-year fundraising letter because of all the stress and anxiety that everyone had been dealing with. This year, it feels like people are working to get back to a sense of normalcy, therefore, we decided to get back into our “normal” of sending out this letter. God has been very faithful in meeting not only our needs here at H2H but also the needs of our clients through faithful financial support from our generous friends of H2H. We want to say a BIG thank you to all of you who have so faithfully and generously supported this ministry throughout the pandemic and beyond. You can be assured that our work is not done, but is ever-increasing as the need and calls for support are rising because of people’s reactions to the pandemic and the challenges of life in general. The effects of the global pandemic are evident everywhere. Everyone has been stressed out for the last two years because of the negative impacts of the pandemic, ranging from limited food supply, challenges in the work force, deficits and changes in our education system, fear of social settings and being around others, fear of illness and death, supply chain challenges and the list goes on and on. Now, when normal life challenges happen, our ability to cope is impaired because we haven’t been able to come down off our stresses related to the pandemic. Today, most people are having exaggerated responses to normal life things because our stress and anxiety levels are consistently running high. It doesn’t take much to “push us over the edge” and many people continue to live in fear daily. Because of the rising cost of every-day goods and services due to out-of-control inflation, people are being put in a position of figuring out what to do without. If given the choice between paying for counseling services or making a mortgage payment, paying for food and gas, I believe it is safe to guess that everyone would choose to take care of their daily living needs over counseling and emotional support. This very fact is what highlights the importance of our H2H ministry. People do not have to make this hard choice. Our financial supporters make counseling services possible for those who would otherwise not be able to access them by ensuring that our doors stay open, and our lights stay on. We do NOT rely on our clients to support the ministry although many of them are willing and able to make small donations for the services that they receive. I would like to humbly ask that everyone receiving this letter prayerfully consider making a special donation of any amount, big or small, to help ensure that H2H will be able to continue providing quality counseling services on a donation basis to all who need them. We have a mighty God who, we have every confidence, will provide for all our ministry needs through your generosity and who will also bless each and every giver for partnering with us in His ministry at H2H. Once again, thank you for your faithful support of this ministry over the years and for your continued support now and in the years to come.
